Aston University’s Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute wishes to recruit a full-time specialist to drive forward national impact associated with biomass and bioenergy research.
The successful candidate will work with SGBIH researchers across 10 national universities and with local/regional authorities across the United Kingdom to identify the wider economic development impact of strategic implementation of sustainable bioenergy and bioproducts in the U.K.
This is a unique role that does not require in-depth knowledge of the bioenergy sector, but does require experience in project development, commercialization and/or regional economic development. As the successful candidate will work with researchers to identify a pipeline of potential national bioenergy implementation projects and quantify the associated socio-economic impacts. You will focus on practical implementation and dissemination to ensure wider understanding of the contextual potential of biomass and bioenergy to deliver jobs, economic development and support the UK industrial strategy.
Qualified to at least degree level you will have strong capability in written and verbal communication, successful experience of building enduring business relationships and delivering results through others.
