Research Associate in Polymer Science (Synthesis and Characterisation) CERPS at Loughborough

A Research Associate position is available for an ambitious and skilled synthetic chemist with a proven track record in the synthesis and characterisation of materials to undertake research in the group of Dr Helen Willcock, within the wider Polymer Synthesis and Processing Group, a vibrant and inclusive group within the Materials department at Loughborough University.

Dr Willcocks research group focuses on the synthesis of responsive polymers for applications in medical imaging, sensing and degradable composites. For further information about the research group, see https://willcockgroup.wixsite.com/willcock-group. This post is co-supervised by Dr Martin Greenall at the University of Lincoln.

The successful applicant should have, or be working towards, a PhD in chemistry, materials science or another relevant subject. The applicant should be capable of working under their own initiative and should be familiar with common synthetic chemistry and materials characterisation techniques. Good communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
