We are looking for an Associate Professor within the field of heterogeneous catalysis and reaction engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The position will be based within the Catalysis group, the largest environment for research and education in applied and fundamental catalysis in Norway. The research and teaching in the catalysis group cover heterogeneous catalysis and related topics (e.g., solid sorbents for gas cleaning and CO2 capture, pyrolytic conversion of hydrocarbons, biomass and plastic wastes, synthesis of special carbon materials (fibers) as well as process development). The group is equipped with extensive and modern experimental facilities where the emphasis is placed on reliable activity measurements and catalyst characterization, but theoretical methods and modelling are also widely employed in the research. The person filling this position will have a special responsibility for teaching in Chemical Engineering and research within industrial catalysis. We are especially looking for candidates with a documented and solid background in heterogeneous catalysis and reaction kinetics, preferably with a strong background in chemical reaction engineering.
