A joint UK Catalysis Hub-Diamond Light Source community meeting that will be held at Diamond Light Source.

The aim of the meeting is to strengthen interactions between the catalysis and synchrotron communities, showcase current and emerging capabilities at Diamond, and discuss how future developments associated with Diamond-II will support cutting-edge catalysis research. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to consider how the catalysis community can continue to access and benefit.

Speakers include:

Dr. Rosa Arrigo, Salford - From structural dynamics to catalytic function: opportunities for Diamond-II in operando catalysis
Prof. Gianluigi Botton, Diamond Light Source
Dr. Javier Castells-Gil, Birmingham - Pair Distribution Function Analysis of Chemically Disordered Materials
Dr. Philip Chater, Diamond Light Source - Crystallography Update
Prof. Sofia Diaz-Moreno, Diamond Light Source - SWIFT Update
Dr. David Eastwood, University of Manchester - Multimodal imaging for cleaner air and energy
Dr. Florian Meirer, Utrecht University - Characterizing Nanomaterials using High-resolution X-ray Tomography: From Catalyst Materials to Rembrandt’s The Night Watch
Prof. Chris Hardacre, University of Manchester
Prof. Dr. Thomas Sheppard, TU Wien - XAS in the era of diffraction limited sources – where do we go from here?
Prof. Kylie Vincent, University of Oxford - Advanced crystallography under electrochemical control for structure-function studies of hydrogenase and nitrogenase
Dr. Andrew Walters, Diamond Light Source - Diamond / CSXID
