Dr Reina is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Catalysis Unit at the Chemical & Process engineering Department at the University of Surrey. Tomas specialises in heterogeneous catalysis for energy and sustainability. His research interests are focused on the application of engineered catalysts to different fuel processing technologies to enable the transition from fossil to renewable fuels. His team is developing innovative catalysts and green catalytic processes with potential impact on the hydrogen economy and the next generation of biofuels. Additionally, he has extensive expertise in low-carbon energy processes with strong emphasis in CO2 utilisation.
