Associate Professor/Lecturer – Inorganic Chemistry
This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of disciplines as you inspire future generations to exceed their potential.
Are you an expert in inorganic chemistry with experience in an established research programme? Have you secured grants to support the kind of distinctive work that’s recognised both nationally and internationally? Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Then welcome to a role that will take you further, faster.
It will be down to you to plan and coordinate a broad research programme and activity in an area of recognised excellence for the University. You’ll act as the principal investigator on a range of projects, taking responsibility for defining original research objectives, developing and managing staff, and attracting funding through making bids and further building our reputation.
We’ll also look to you to develop and sustain our national and international reputation for research and the enhancement of learning and teaching practice. You’ll do that by regularly disseminating and explaining your findings through leading peer-reviewed publications, major conferences, or exhibiting work at other events. Alongside this, you’ll make an active contribution to the development of the department’s teaching and learning activities, delivering teaching of the highest quality across a range of modules and to all levels through lectures, tutorials, practicals and seminars.
