Our recent paper on catalysts for polymer recycling has published this week in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
“We need better recycling and catalysis has a key role in helping us all to conserve valuable feedstocks and to reduce energy demand. Our investigation sets out the rules which allow for selection of the best catalyst and processes to use for recycling a target polymer. It demonstrates that a fundamental concept in chemistry first described more than 100 years ago, thermodynamic-kinetic linear free energy also governs the performances of catalysts in polymer recycling.” ~ Prof. Charlotte Williams
