RSC SURCAT Best PhD Thesis Award

We are pleased to announce the RSC SURCAT Best PhD Thesis Award. This Award would be presented annually by SURCAT group to a young researcher who has completed his/her PhD thesis registered within the UK based institution. The award would be presented at the next UK Catalysis conference including a Citation and a cash prize of £250. The young researcher would also be invited to present a keynote talk based on their PhD thesis at the annual UK Catalysis Conference.

The nominations should include:
·      A PDF file of the thesis
·      A letter of support written by the candidate’s PhD supervisor and/or the External Examiner supporting the excellence of the candidate’s work and contribution to the field.
·      The candidate’s CV

The nomination documents should be submitted in one single pdf file to the Secretary of SURCAT special interest group, Dr. Haresh Manyar (h.manyar@qub.ac.uk).

Open to all candidates that have been awarded (not necessarily graduated) a PhD from a UK university. For the current award, the PhD theses defended from 1st May 2019 onwards will be considered. The PhD thesis should be original work predominantly in the field of Catalysis.

The deadline for the submissions is February 24, 2021.
