Available from 1st April 2021 with a fixed-term contract of two years.
The role entails research contributions in the area „Theoretical Chemistry“, particularly the quantum chemical characterisation of transition metal complexes. The project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and will be carried out in close collaboration with the group of Dr. Ruth Webster at the University of Bath. The project focuses on an iron catalysed method to prepare an unprecedented chemical synthon. The aim is to unravel the catalytic cycle generating this synthon, to predict the spectroscopic properties of catalytic intermediates and to evaluate the scope of organic applications.
