2. Technical Manager of the Durham X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy Facility

We (Durham University) are seeking a manager of our new lab based x-ray absorption spectroscopy facility (post-doc level, but technical role). The post is initially for 2.5 years (the aim being to create a self-sustaining facility to develop a post beyond that), with a closing date of 30th of September. We have recently acquired an EasyXAFS300+ (the first in the UK!) – a lab source X-ray spectroscopy funded by the EPSRC for looking in particular at catalyst and energy materials. We are now looking for an XAS expert to help run this exiting equipment with internal and external users (including a good number of Hub members).  See more about the position at the link containing further details and application instructions below.

(Informal enquiries and questions about the role welcome to Simon.Beaumont@durham.ac.uk).
